Sunday Night and Monday Morning
Transition Sunday night and some audiobook and reading blather to Monday morning and likely a PassApp ride downtown for coffee. I started feeling this morning like needing an interlude downtown. So I think it means time for Noi coffee. Sitting at Noi on Monday may also mean a baguette sandwich much like a banh mi. They cost about $0.60 each and are served on toasted bread with fresh veggies and pork and chili sauce. I know they’re made all over town but the guy out front must make the best ones ever.
Tonight my wife made some Khmer dish I do not know the name of. It has fresh bamboo and tofu and beef and she made homemade chili sauce with it. Pair it with some steamed rice and life just takes a nice turn.
So wanted to start this thing Sunday night because it’s a thing I do. Then I let it percolate along to wake up in the morning and words and then the tuktuk ride downtown. I just manhandle the date field in the frontmatter to make it look like tomorrow. Or today. Or whatever.
Now though it’s tomorrow. Or something like that. The house is quiet after what seems like some weeks of Khmer visitations. I get to a done part of that after some time and need a place to crawl away and seek quiet. I cannot really take the forever talking and social times well. The morning walk and coffee is the time for me.
Now everyone is gone (again). And I say…
yay!!!
I’m happy they’re happy. They are and talked and visited. And much time was spent. I just find the bedroom and put the ac on and hide.
That’s all the days before. Now we can move along to Monday. I’m ecstatic!
Hello Monday morning
My wife goes through these social changes. Now its back to being next door mornings with the talk time. She simply loves all the time spent wherever being social. She came home last night with friends that wanted to see her husband at home while she was out at the fishing spot she does. She probably had a few beers out but she always finds her life now to be just what it is she wants. For her, it is really the little things that get her going. The morning spent with some words. Fishing down the street somewhere. I don’t think the cooking she does for me is little though. I’ve always felt very lucky to have someone that can cook like she does. It is whatever she decides each day. She’s made pizza for me and then there’s her salads. Legendary!
Today I can kind of sputter along until I wanna get ready to go downtown for coffee. It takes a tuktuk ride for about 15 minutes and then will enjoy sitting at Noi and watching whatever happens there. It has been a little bit since I did the morning coffee thing. I’ll catch this up when PassApp takes me to a nice little destination.
This morning get a female PassApp driver. She sees me out walking around neighborhood I guess. Now it’s time to just sit. The transition happened and I made it. It’s Monday and coffee downtown. Soon a walk. I guess we will go to Battambang in November. We have this hotel close to the market we both like. There’s restaurants and coffee close. Getting there is easier and quicker than Kampot. I’ll take just going.
Right now I’ll take coffee and watching this little side of Siem Reap go by.
